Elixir began in Oxton Village on the Wirral and built a following on small plates, a serious cocktail list and the kind of welcome people come back for. Elixir Liverpool is the second room, on Queen Square in the city centre, and it is open now.
The format is the same: tapas-style plates made for sharing, cocktails made properly, and a room that suits an early dinner as easily as a late drink. Green banquettes, marble tables, chandeliers and a lot of greenery. There is a baby grand in the bar and, most nights, somebody playing it.

Queen Square sits between three of Liverpool's main stages. If you are seeing a show, you can eat properly, finish without rushing and still be in your seat before the lights go down. It is the single best reason to book here rather than somewhere further out.
We are on Queen Square, a short walk from the Empire on Lime Street. The Royal Court on Roe Street is closer still, and the Playhouse on Williamson Square is a few minutes the other way. All three are comfortably walkable before a show.
Tuesday to Thursday 12:00 to 23:00. Friday and Saturday 12:00 to midnight. Sunday 12:00 to 20:00. Closed Mondays.
Booking is recommended, especially on show nights and at weekends. Reserve online or call 0151 347 7217. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar whenever we have space.
There is a multi-storey car park on Queen Square directly alongside us. Lime Street station is a short walk for anyone arriving by train.
Yes. Elixir started in Oxton Village on the Wirral and Liverpool is our second site. Both are open. The menus differ between the two rooms.
